Does facebook show you as 'active' even when you're not using messenger?

It seems everytime i use my ipod, not even messenger or anything, that people seem to talk to me.

I normally X messenger out after using it.

no, you have to set it to offline (click the options in the corner of the chat to do so)

I do also own an Ipod and this problem came to me.
Anyways, you are active on facebook through messenger or facebook app until you logout or OFF the CHAT.
I do OFF the CHAT when I am not using facebook.

Yes it Still Does if you Dont Want it to Show That Either Log Off or Set Chat to Go Offline

even if you turn off your pc, but you are being active on facebook like doing likes, commenting they will notice it and will message you if they want.
