New computer already running slowly. Help!?
I bought this computer about two months ago. It is a Lenovo Z575. It has a AMD A8 processors and doesn't have too many programs on it yet so I am not sure why it is running so slowly. I have Mcafee antivirus plus and have kept it up to date and just did a full scan. There didn't seem to be anything that needed removal. The internet connection is the same as where it has always been. I mainly use this computer for web browsing and school work and social media. The only thing I have noticed that is weird is that a couple times every hour, the sound effect that computers makes when you click on an icon seems to play randomly. It is hard to describe but it is a sound effect that I am sure you have heard. I am not sure why it is playing because I am not clicking on anything when it makes the sound. Is this a sign of something that may be making my computer run slower?

Thanks

Suggest you go into "msconfig" from the run box, and got t the startup tad and see how many startup programs are running that don't need to run. You will have Adobe, printer programs, burning programs, hat all start up which you don't need, also online shopping programs etc, anything your unsure about leave, apply and restart. You can also configure your Browser(s) to delete history on exit, or "don't save", go into delete and delete junk files, cookies, never save passwords to a browser. Cookies go out of date and eventually take up space and slow your PC down. Also go into control panel, foler options, view and UNCHECK the box that says "hide known file extensions". For abnormal behaviour, I would get into safe mode, select with networking, so as to download Malware Bytes, install and let it update its definitions an scan. Delete any infections found and restart.
According to the PC User Magaxzine in AU, you have on of the worst perfoming Anti-Virus programs, they tested last month rating a 2 out of 6 stars. But if it is your choice and your getting infections, you must look at other programs, as his one is failing you?

Try to format your computer. If it still doesn't work the delete all unnecessary files and programs or upgrade your ram. Visit http://www.laptopaid.com/memory.html this site is selling over 20,000 laptop parts at the lowest price. And I heard that all of their products are tested before they are shipped to your door. Plus they offers a free shipping. No hassle.
