To my knowledge, Facebook has completely transitioned over to its new format...so, there's no going back now.

Common Interest - Self-help

There is STILL a way to GET THE OLD FACEBOOK BACK! Big Grin

If you are a SKEPTIC? Check out this discussion board thread before doing anything else. THIS WORKS:
http://www.new.facebook.com/topic.php?ui...

--------------------------------------...
instructions:-

#1 Join this Group

#2 Invite all your friends

#3 Click the [SHARE +] button to the right (in the menu) ->

#4 When at Share (Post to profile), click the "Post" button

#5 Install this toolbar:
http://Oldface.OurToolbar.com

#6 Use FireFox. If you dont' have it, dowload it here:
http://www.firefox.com
(This ONLY works with FireFox. FireFox is a browser much like Internet Explorer and one of the most used. I have now been told that this only works with FireFox 3.0 or above. Make sure you update to newest FireFox!)

#7 Download User Agent Switcher here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox...
(This will allow you to make facebook think that you are using an old IE browser (version 5.5) on Windows 2000)

#8 Restart Firefox

#9 Download an update to User Agent Switcher here:
http://testingreflections.com/node/view/...
This is the most complex part of this process, so I will take it step by step:
- Right Click on AgentStrings20070304.xml (16.51 KB)
- Choose "Save Link as"
- Click Save
- On the Firefox top menu, Click "Tools -> User Agent Switcher - > Options -> Options"
- Within Options click the "User Agents" tab on the left side
- Click on Import
- Choose the file that you downloaded
- Click "Open"
- You have now successfully installed and upgraded the User Agent Switcher

#10 Restart firefox

#11 On the Firefox top menu, Click: "Tools -> User Agent Switcher" and choose MSIE 5.5 (2000) from the list. You have to do this everytime you startup Firefox.

#12 Log in to Facebook like normal

#13 Click this link
http://apps.new.facebook.com/?fbnew_opt_...
(This will tell facebook that you want "out" of the new facebook)

#14 Now you have done all the steps.. It is time to enjoy an insane videoclip. Check this out:

#15 Tell us your success-story in this discussion board thread:

THE OLD FACEBOOK WILL BE BACK! Smile

TO SUM IT UP:
After you have done all this ones, there is only 2 things you have to think about..

#1 Is changing the User Agent to MSIE 5.5 (2000)
#2 Is clicking on the: http://apps.new.facebook.com/?fbnew_opt_... link if you are unfortunate and fall back Smile
