I want to create my own blog but do I need to have a Facebook account?

I want to have my own blog to post some of my writing but I can't have a facebook account because of my parents. So, do I need a facebook account to create my own blog?

I needed a quick and easy way to set up a blog and found blogger.com to be the easiest to set up. You don't need a Facebook account. Blogger.com is affiliated with google, so it will ask you to register an account. For security, it is always good to have a different email account to use besides your regular personal account.
