I know I am.. can't speak for others. But we do see that young muslims are becoming a social media youth and are open to the outside instead of closed like the old generation. I know that in Morocco the youth is very open-minded, but it might not be the same case for the youth in countries like Saudi-Arabia for example.
It's such a gigantic community, it's like comparing apples with pears. It's like comparing a christian from Norway with one from the Phillepines. Both think differently. |

They are probably more tolerant but still not very tolerant.

Age has little to do with it. Haven't you heard of Palestinian youths lynching Jews? It has more to do with the environment the person was raised in.

I know many Muslims of a variety of ages & they are open minded.
One dear friend is a vegetarian Muslim who's a Spokesman for a local Buddhist college. I think he's in his 60's. Bigotry is not restricted to one's age. . |

I just heard a program on National Public Radio in which a young muslim gave his 9 year old sister a suicide vest and told he to go activate it at an israeli check point. When she refused, he beat her. Her parents also wanted her to do it.
Hardly seems open and tolerant to me. |

Not in the Middle East. You can see tons of videos of young Syrian Muslim rebels decapitating and/or stoning homosexuals, Christians, and people accused of supporting Assad.

I'm a Muslim but I call myself a spiritual Muslim and I'm open to most things like gay marriage and equality between both genders because there are some stuff that men are permitted to do but not women. For example I can only marry a Muslim man while my brother can marry any woman he wants. I'm open to things like tattoos and stuff that my mother disagrees with but there are things that I also agree with like praying and worshipping only God. So basically there are some things in the Quran that I believe in and don't believe in but my personal beliefs and the rules I live by are: Be a good person, Be happy, and Always have Faith in God
