How to retrieve my Face Book account?

Hi! Just about 10 minutes ago, I was logging into my Face Book, just to see how my friends are doing, etc. So, Face Book gave me this message:

Please Verify Your Identity
It looks like your account might not be real. Facebook is a community where people share and interact using their real identities.
Facebook does not allow accounts that:
*Pretend to be someone else
*Use a fake name
*Don't represent a real person
In order to regain access to your account, please complete the following security check to verify your identity and help keep Facebook secure.

So, as usual, I typed in the CAPTCHA code, and it worked, Then, it told me to enter in my mobile phone number. I don't even have a phone! I just access Face Book from my computer, and it works perfectly fine. So, in respond to that message about the mobile phone, I just tried to log in again, and still the same message. I am NOT a fake person at all. I am using my real identity. I have been adding ONLY people who I know. Is there anyway I can just permanently delete my account? I just really do not want to buy a phone,iPod, etc.

you cant delete it if you cant log into it

you will need to provide facebook with a copy of your govt issued ID to prove you are real now - then wait about a week for them to review it
