You may have a thought there. It does seem plausible that this level of technology has stimulated some latent psi abilities in the public at large. However I think that it is just as likely that telepathy has encouraged technology. There is a group mind that happens to all societies and this may very well be one of the deciding factor to this boom of technology. ~M~
