Do you agree/disagree with candidates who have expressed willingness to privatize Social Security?

How can that be safe? Remember 2008-2009? The stock market had the wind knocked out of it, losing 3 TRILLION dollars. What would you do if you were to expect that money, just to see it evaporate...and how about last May ..the computer flash crash, the market dropped 1,000 points in 34 minutes.
IF that was your income, what would you do...try to work until you died? Investing retirement money is complicated and risky because individuals can lose their retirement safety net through bad decisions. .
Social Security is a program that allows a certain standard of living, not like a fat gamble of how Wall Street may...or...may not pay you off. hope this helps Nobody is getting fat from it, but it is a safety net for our seniors.
