A decent laptop I should get?
So I've had a really crappy laptop for years and I want a decent laptop that will last at least 7 years or so.
I have an HP Probook 4520 right now. I've had it for about four years and it's starting to slow down and the charging port is really sensitive, so I'm going to get a new laptop at the end of the school year (June) and I want to know what is best for me. Mostly I use my laptop for Internet downloading, using Microsoft Office, and playing online flash games. I occasionally play downloaded games but not much. I also am a heavy programmer so a strong processor would be nice. I'd like a Macbook Pro but I heard that those aren't very good and they're waaaaay too expensive. Forgot to mention, I'm on a budget as well. My parents will buy me any laptop but I personally don't like to waste money, so I'll say keep the price below $750. So to sum up my preferences I want: - Below $750 - Capable of downloading from the Internet very quickly - Decent screen size (my eyes are pretty bad) - Portability doesn't matter (I don't bring my laptop to other places) - Fast processor (for some gaming and a lot of programming) - A large memory capacity - Strong in website games and stuff Come to think of it if a PC is a better option for me than a laptop then please let me know. I really know very little about computers, just how to make software. Thanks, Tim Ads |
