Add-ons for chrome don't seem to work as well as they do in firefox. If they are popups that are normal for facebook, it's just because add-ons in chrome don't work very good. You can try to run a scan with:

http://www.superantispyware.com/

It's free, and if the popups are malware related super should be able to deal with it.

If they persist, then give firefox a try with these add-ons:

Adblock plus
Adblock plus pop-up add-on
Better privacy
Facebook phishing protector
Ghostery
Priv3
Ads
