Run while you can. This guy has some serious issues. You do not want to be in a relationship with this guy. I understand you are worried because he threatens suicide, but he will continue to hold that over you to make you stay.

Just get the guy some help... contrary to the other answers you received, if you love him get him some help. If he refuses that help then break up with him.. you said he was really sweet guy before this happened which means him having got cheated on in the past caused some mental problems.. so just get him that help and im sure things will get better
