An AVG toolbar was put on my firefox web page and no matter what I cannot get rid of it.?

I clicked on the icon and clicked uninstall....that didn't work. I clicked in the control panel, add/remove programs....and that didn't work. How can I get rid of it?

Right click the bar on top and it'll have the toolbar on the list, just unclick it. Let me know if it works or not.

Type 'about:support' into Firefox address bar and click the 'Reset Firefox...' button found at upper right area

There are 3 steps for you to learn and fully uninstall AVG toolbar.
Recently, I installed AVG toolbar by mistake. And I tried to delete it but I failed due to it is not available to remove AVG toolbar through "Add or Remove Program" in Windows XP.
