Well the Adblock worked for a LONG time but now it stopped even though I updated it and my AVG expired but the free one wont work... What can I do? Also everytime I go to google it says this page contains insecure content. WHAT?! it's a google search... My computer runs just fine but yeah, whats up with this?
Well, adblock worked perfectly before... anyways, I found a new extension and it works great. I know I don't have a virus.
Ok, nevermind, the ads are back... wtf

Add-ons for chrome don't seem to work as well as they do in firefox. If they are popups that are normal for facebook, it's just because add-ons in chrome don't work very good. You can try to run a scan with:

http://www.superantispyware.com/

It's free, and if the popups are malware related super should be able to deal with it.

If they persist, then give firefox a try with these add-ons:

Adblock plus
Adblock plus pop-up add-on
Better privacy
Facebook phishing protector
Ghostery
Priv3

When fresh ads appear, it means a new way to get around your current 'blocking' subscriptions. The inconsiderate bastards who intrude onto your system are constantly advancing their delivery methods, and you must constantly counter-measure those efforts.
To remedy; right click the offending rubbish> look for the Adblock Plus 'block' line, then 'add' the "filter rule"> Add filter.
Most often it's the bottom item (Firefox anyway).
Periodically "Update subscriptions" ABP from Preferences.

This also helps:
CHROME> wrench icon> Preferences> Under the hood> Content settings> Cookies (heading): tick "Allow local data..." & "Ignore exceptions and block 3rd party..."> close tab.
