What determines which 10 Facebook friends are displayed on the new Facebook user profile page format?
Is it random? Or does the site "choose" which 10 of your friends appear on your Facebook profile front page by some means, such as most frequently contacted friends?
When I hit the refresh button, it shuffles which 10 friends appear on my page, but they are usually the same people...just in a different order. How does it work? Is it just random? Ads |

According to Facebook:
“Friends who you publicly interact with the most appear first on your profile. Examples of public interactions include Wall posts, comments and mutually attended events — Facebook will never show friends based on whose profiles you choose to view or who you interact with over messages and chat.†Ads |
