We liked him for a variety of reasons...but most importantly because we were prosperous under him. He campaigned the 2nd term asking the country "Are you, better off now than 4 years ago?" and the answer was a resounding YES!

If Obama isn't able to say the same thing, people aren't going to be so happy with his "change".

Because he stopped the Jimmy carter recession. He cut taxes and stimulated one of the largest economic recoveries in history. But not just that he raised public revenues I don't know where your getting your stats but they're obviously wrong.
See this is really important you need to pay attention : There is a reason that Reagan spent so much money on the military .... Because we were in the midst of the cold war. The Soviet Union was powering up their military and just in case you forgot they did have nuclear weapons. Everyone knows how you deal with a bully on the playground you show him your not afraid of him. Why now does everyone like to play monday morning Quarterback and try to criticize his actions. You and I are alive today in large part because of a few people who chose to take a stand against tyranny.
