Is there charges on long distance text messages?
I am from Texas, and I have a friend in California. We only keep contact on Twitter and Facebook. We plan on texting, but I am worried my phone-bill will skyrocket. Does anyone know if there are long distance charges on text messages? If it helps my plan is with AT&T.

As long as your plan includes unlimited texting, you are perfectly fine. If you don't, it's a flat rate per message charge, be it local or across the States.

Hi.You can message anyone in the U.S. in any state at no additional cost. Long distance is included. Now if you were to message outside of the U.S. to another country then it would be billed differently.
