When will the social conservatives stop destroying the Republican party?

2/3 of state governors are republican.
2/3 of state legislatures are republican.
The House of Representatives is republican.

How exactly are republicans being destroyed?

As long as the GOVT cheese and checks flow and he gives them abortion, contraceptive on demand, legalized gay marriage, and "free" healthcare, Libs, esp. on here, couldn't care less what Obama does to the economy and the Country

While I don't agree with social conservatives views, they have a right to express their opinions like everyone else.

I think many more conservatives support gay marriage as being under the right to "the pursuit of happiness".. But mostly what is perceived is what democrats and the liberal press say about conservatives and republicans.. Not to say some conservatives / republicans aren't for not changing the definition of marriage, and actually many of those support civil unions with full legal rights, but for the most part, unless folks listen to Fox News or talk radio at least some of the time, their chances of knowing that are kind of slim.
