Why is facebook running so slow on my computer when all the other websites run super mega fast on my computer?

Yes!

My goodness, this question is like my savior.

Everything else (Like Yahoo! Answers) will open quickly and respond quickly.

Yet, Facebook is running so, so slowly.

It'll take at least 2-3 minutes just for the home page to open, and then more time to view notifications/pictures/applications.

It's driving me insane.

It's kept up for about two days, too.

Facebook needs to fix itself, or I am not going to be a happy camper.

My facebook is usually very fast but recently (as in like the last two days) has been especially slow. I'm glad its not just my computer!

Yes. For me, it only started last night. It has never once been slow for me before. Now it takes forever for a page to load. I try to leave a comment for somebody and it takes forever for that to get posted. I try to type a note and it takes forever to load. Tonight it is still slow. Awful. I am going crazy. Everything else on the internet works just fine. BUT NOT FACEBOOK! I am actually glad to see that other people are currently having similar problems with FB. Not that I want others to have problems! It's just that I was so sure I was the only one and I was about ready to yell and scream. Seeing that other people are currently having the same problem makes me realize that it is not just me, nor is there something wrong with my computer. It is Facebook that is at fault.

Everyone in my house has been experiencing this problem as well. I'm to assume it is not just my account and is surely an issue with facebook's servers. I've been off facebook for two days because it is so painfully slow. Honestly this is ridiculous. I know I am not a paying customer...but I really am. Every ad that comes across my screen is paid for through outside companies so money is not a problem. Mark Zuckerberg and his fat cats over at facebook are more concerned about growing the number of users to boost revenue than keeping up with the current base and technology. On top of that Facebook continues to change their layout and application setup, almost daily. If they would just stick with a simple format (like the original one that made them successful) they wouldn't have all of these issues. I don't need all of these ridiculous additions. Just simple wall to wall, messaging, and ability to post photos. If facebook isn't careful, sites like twitter and google's new wave will quickly start taking over.

Morale of the story. Don't be cheap and keep it simple.
