Need help with Startup repair for windows7?
I tried it many times but can't succeed please help me out.

When i turned on my pc (windows 7) it shows a screen which says "Windows error recovery"
and it shows following options
*launch startup repair(recomended)
*windows start normally
I selected the first option. Then, a screen comes and it says "startup repair is checking your problems". After that it says "Windows cannot repair this computer automatically" and it shows following two options:
*send information about this problem(recommended)
*don't send
I choose the first one. Then it shows "view diagnostic and repair details" and "view advanced options for system recovery and support"
i choose the advanced option. Then it asked for passward and i leave it blank and select OK.
Then it shows following list of options:
choose a recovery tool
*startup repair
*system restore
*system image recovery
*windows memory diagnostic
*command prompt
*dell factory image restore
I choose the first option "startup repair". Then it searches for problem. The after that it shows that "startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically" and following two options:
*send information about this problem(recommended)
*don't send
I select the first option. Then again it shows that "windows cannot repair this computer automatically" and two options:
*view diagnostic and repair details
*view advanced options for system recovery and support

please help me out i am stuck here for hours.

This happened to me after Windows automatically ran a bunch of security updates. I have Windows 7 on a HP Pavilion DV6. I couldn't get it to reconcile anything either, so i shut down my laptop and restarted it, and it ran normally as though nothing had happened. I guess it is a bug in the update process?

Hello Peyush,

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.

Your system issue may be related to the operating system or hardware as well.

Follow the link below to run a basic hardware test on your system.

If you get any error code, you can associate it to the list given in the link below.

If all the tests pass, follow the link below to fix the OS issue once before you restore your system to factory settings.

If this has not helped you or if you need any further assistance, feel free to message me on Twitter. I will be happy to assist.
