My computer mouse cursor arrow thingy keeps freezing up, what can I do?
We've got a DELL computer about 3 years old. It mostly works fine, but recently it sometimes makes a "gonk" sound effect and reaction time is slow for a second. Usually, when it does this, after a couple of time the mouse arrow freezes and I have to unplug it from the usb port and plug it back in to get it to move again. Anyone know what is up and how I can fix this problem? It just started up out of nowhere a couple months ago.

Hello Nathan J,

I am from Dell Social Media and Community.

This could be just a driver issue or a system hardware issue, follow the link below to run a basic hardware test on your system.

If you get any error code, you can associate it to the list given in the link below.

If all the tests pass, follow the link to troubleshoot freezing issue.
