Avast is blocking my facebook messages, but why =)?

Update manually Avast.

Try clicking on the maintenance tab and clocking update for both the program and the definitions. When I did this it seemed to be updating and then it told me the program was already up to date, however, this DID fix the problem. Firefox now has no trouble accessing my Facebook messages.

I EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM MINUTES AGO BUT ALL I DID WAS MANUALLY UPDATE THE VIRUS DEFINITIONS OF THE AVAST ANTI VIRUS. JUST CLICK THE AVAST ICON - MAINTENANCE - UPDATE - THEN CLICK "UPDATE ENGINE AND VIRUS DEFINITIONS". AFTER UPDATING CLICK OK THEN VOILA!!! PROBLEM IS SOLVED. HOPE IT WILL WORK FOR YOU.

Had the same problem.. But updating avast (engine and virus definition) manually works.. thanks

I don't have the answer yet, but I have Avast too and it's doing the same thing to me this morning. So you're not alone.

I'm having the same problem. It's just the Avast update. It won't be long until it's fixed though so don't worry.They're usually all over it when something like this happens. =)
