The main reason is that there is no reason to assume that any god exists. The world behaves exactly as if no god existed.

Belief in god does not make god real.

There is no reason to believe Theres no God.
The reasons people give are often examples of the corrupt Catholic Church who don't understand god anymore than the atheists trying to disprove them.

3. Understanding humans, it is quite believable Gods are man made myths and it's like watching liars attempt to cover their previous lie with a greater lie. The biblical God used to sit just above the earth and the tower of Babel was built to get up to God, now that God has taken up residency outside of space-time, yet is everywhere and placing humans center stage. I guess liars also have big egos.
