What does "hash tag" mean?
I watch tv and they always have a # symbol and a word or phrase beside it. I also see it on the internet sometimes. What does it mean? What is it used for?

It's a twitter thing so you can...show that your post relates to something popular. Like...for example a big one right now is something like #TweetToYourIdolToLetThemKnowYouSupportThem or something like that.

Its just a little thing used to get followers on instagram and twitter because if you click the word it shows everytime its been used. Therefore linking you to people

Hash Tags Refer to a Topic And you Can Click on the Topic Word and it will Tell you Who Else Is Writting about it Lets Say For Example #TV you Use That as a Hashtag People Can Click on it and It Will Tell you Who Else Is Posting About TV |
