What does "hash tag" mean?
I watch tv and they always have a # symbol and a word or phrase beside it. I also see it on the internet sometimes. What does it mean? What is it used for?

It's a twitter thing so you can...show that your post relates to something popular. Like...for example a big one right now is something like #TweetToYourIdolToLetThemKnowYouSupportThem or something like that.

Its just a little thing used to get followers on instagram and twitter because if you click the word it shows everytime its been used. Therefore linking you to people
